Dr. Martens x DIY Stand For Something Tour 2016

As a brand intrinsically linked to music, Dr. Martens remain one of the most culturally relevant and iconic British brands of all time. With a history steeped in music. across the world, gig-goers continue to adopt AirWair as their uniform of choice and the Stand For Something Tour 2016 saluted those music lovers by bringing some of the most exciting UK acts to intimate venues across the country for up-close and personal live experiences.

They have a historical focus on indie, rock and alternative music, with a sold-out 2015 tour having taken place across the UK with gigs and in-stores from acts like Dutch Uncles, Lonely The Brave, Palma Violets and Twin Atlantic.

The brand aimed to expand its customer base with the launch of the DM’s Lite range, the line-up brief for 2016 expanding from to include grime and electronic acts to connect a broader range of emerging artists with wider audiences.

This year’s tour took place in four cities across the country. Keyboard- pummelling twins Formation, Hackney MC Paigey Cakey, and North East rockers VANT were the first three acts announced – hitting up Birmingham, Liverpool, and Newcastle – before things wrapped up with an incredible You Me At Six show in the capital.

This was the fourth year that Dr. Martens worked with our management/production arm – as well as DIY – to provide a full 360° service of tour management, content curation and amplification.
